Re: Import low energy distribution (issue on longitudinal plane)
Dear Didier, Thanks a lot for adding the option. I tested it with type 1 ascii file. The "shape" in the Z-Zp plane or Z-delta is OK, but I notice a shift (about 1 mm) in the Z position as regard to the value I put in the ascii file. see attached image. It is still confusing for me why there is this ...

Re: Import low energy distribution (issue on longitudinal plane)
Hello ,
Many Thanks Didier for your feedback.
I tried with the second type of import file. Indeed it remains the same for plots with Z. But Time and phase are OK.
See attached images, just FYI.
cheers,
fred

Import low energy distribution (issue on longitudinal plane)
Hi, I am trying to import, from an ASCII file , an electron beam distribution, with a low kinetic energy (2.65043 keV) and a large energy spread. once .dst file generated by Plotwin, transverse plane is ok, see attached image. While on the longitudinal plane the distribution seems to be "distorted",...

Re: r/Q calculation (in chart)
Dear Didier yes that is the point. you do not need to use ke to get r/Qii. Once you calculated r/Q for the reference case (r/Qref), you just need the TTF of the cavity ii, to get its r/Qii. By applying : r/Q_ii = r/Qref * (TTF(β_ii)/TTF(βref))^2 In this way you do not have to pay attention if the ca...

r/Q calculation (in chart)
Salut Didier, In the chart section it is possible to plot the r/Q calculated for each cavity. For some cavities, the value seems to not be correct. If I understand correctly, r/Q is calculated with : r/Q = Vc^2 /(ω U ) Vc: is the calculated accelerating voltage (plot ‘voltage per cavity’). U is the ...
