Re: Dispersion Curves with Gradient Errors
Dear Abhishek, in the file ""partran1.out" for tracking or "tracewin1.out" for envelope results you can have the dispersion terms at each position of your simualtion File format is describe in the manuel see : https://dacm-codes.fr/Softwares/TraceWin_DOC/tracewin.htm#_Partran_and_Toutatis If you are...

Re: Parallelization capability for beam-transport optimization [SOLVED]
Dear Pau
It is clear that the parallelization implemented in TraceWin was not at all designed to speed up the optimization phase, but to reduce the calculation time for very high numbers of particles, greater than 10e7.
Regards,
Didier

Re: Parallelization capability for beam-transport optimization [SOLVED]
Dear Pau, Typically, during a tracking optimization, TraceWin will by default use 1000 particles and with this number going beyond 4 cores would be counter-productive in terms of efficiency (due to openMP). Now TraceWin can perfectly well be used in bath mode and there if your own optimisation algor...

Re: Synch on PlotWin
Dear Wai-Ming, I think we're having trouble understanding each other on this subject :D Basically, PlotWin's synchronization works in the same way as TraceWin's, i.e. every time the monitored file changes, i.e. every time an optimization step is taken. That's the basic principle. So normally this sh...

Re: Superposition of DC/AC field maps
Hi,
You could only supperpose field maps element, and the syntax of your LQ1 line is wrong!
If you don't have a field map for your magnetics elements, you can use the MULTIPOLE element, which creates a simplified and supperposable field map.
Regards,
Didier
