Re: Chopper definition
Dear Bruce, I've already noticed this factor of 2 depending on the publications and I think that sometimes it comes from confusion between the distance of the plates from the axis or between the plates, it's not always very clear. However, for me, voltage and distance are from the 0 axis, so E=U/D a...

Re: Question about DTL cavity error
Dear SeokHo,
Z displacement has never been implemented and will probably never be because it is rather complex to develop and ultimately has a negligible impact compared to other types of error.

Re: set B value for Bending Magnet
Dear Michele, I find it complicated to do that, as it would mean that the trajectory would no longer be on the axis and so the matrix used for the dipole would no longer be relevant. In my opinion, this is a totally different development. That said, the magnetic field corresponding to the bro is ind...

Re: Question about DTL cavity error
Dear Sir, This sentence concerns only the specific command PHASE_ERROR_TO_SYNC_PHASE. In the context of a DTL you don't normally have to use it and all the errors indicated, such as displacements, are taken into account. So in image#2 select all the errors you want to apply and use the ERROR_CAV_XXX...

Re: Gas and Magnetic stripping losses [SOLVED]
Dear Abhishek,
Yes it's correct.
No, a new GAS command cancels and replaces the preceding one. You need to define an effective cross-section representative of the combination of your 2 gases.
Regards,
Didier
