RFQ longitudinal Acceptance query
My question: What happens if one inject beam bunch of 2ns into RFQ where design guidelines says, the bunch width must be three times in synchronous phase (-48 deg @ 48.5 MHz RFQ)? which means 8.2 ns as ideal bunch width injection. My comments: If I inject a 2 ns beam bunch into an RFQ (Radio Frequen...

Re: Hoffmann Chart [SOLVED]
I forget to mention that it is plot for RFQ only. Thanks to pointed reply, Can we also say that there is fast crossing of four lattice periods with tune depression more than 0.7 and therefore no significant effect on beam dynamics. I am counting yellow dots for Kz/Kxy = 1. What is the reason for it?...

What is minimum input beam energy allowed in TRACEWIN ?
In tracewin, if we wish to design extraction system using field maps, what is input energy of beam which can be taken ? For example, Can we take beam at plasma potential such as 100 eV energy?

Hoffmann Chart [SOLVED]
I request you explanation of this Hoffmann Chart of the RFQ model. Can we say also that it is plot of σT/σ0T versus σz/σT? Can you please corelate the X and Y axis in this way. What is conclusion of yellow dots which is data from multiparticle simulations. I enabled all 4,3,2 order while plotting th...

Re: How to vary electric field intensity factor in FIELD_MAP
Cannot find matching element commands
From->[PROCESS_MATCHING] : Family matching
This is the error coming if we use MATCH_FAM_FIELD
As per my experience, I have used MATCH_FAM_GRAD for electrostatic quadrupole also and it works very well.

How to vary electric field intensity factor in FIELD_MAP
I tried using command MATCH_FAM_GRAD, its not working here, not able to change Electric field intensity factor..It works for solenoids to vary magnetic field intensity factor. But here, I am using electric field map from POISSON code for einzel lens. Please suggest how to vary it to match next stage...

Re: Einzel Lens
Can you elaborate what is delta s (mm) mentioned on 138 page no. what is its value when manually verifying the transfer matrix of one electrostatic acceleration line. It will be helpful if you can make a drawing depicting the various dimension mentioned for it?

Re: Einzel Lens

Einzel Lens
Please explain little more about TRANSVERSE defocal for electrostatic acceleration, There are two units mentioned eV/mm2 and eV/m2 on page 55 and 108. I have to use this option to define an einzel lens.
