Re: Question about RFQ error

Hi I will try to respond to your requests one by one: 1. For example, if the longitudinal length of the electrode is 1m and if I want to give 0.1 degree of tilt angle then should I set the tilt set up to 1*tan(0.1 degree)? RD: the axis for the tilt is at the middle of vane, thus tan(alpha) = d * 2/L...

Re: Running in batch mode

Hi I am embarassed as I can not reproduce the bug on my WIN10 platform. I tried to run from CMD.exe or PowerShell.exe and everything went fine. I will try next week to run on other platforms in case something pops up. Please try to investigate in parallel if they are options on your platform when ru...

Re: Running in batch mode

Hi

I will try to help you. Please share your input files (at least *.inp) in order to reproduce the bug on my platform for investigation.

Best

Re: Article on Comparison of longitudinal emittance of various RFQs

Thank you Michele for sharing.

I read the article asap and might revert to you.

For the time being, my best wishes for 2024!

Re: Synchronous phase in Toutatis

Dear Emre, I ran rfqtest.inp with Toutatis 2.0 and got similar results. In details: - the transverse emittance is a bit bigger with Toutatis compared to Parmetq. This seems to be consistent with the greater transmission with Toutatis. Toutatis considers that a particle is lost when it hits the elect...

Re: I don’t get rfq.dat

Hi

I attached the rfq.dat generated on my platform. I will try to see later if I can find the reason why you do not get it.

(64 bits): Toutatis2_GUI_win64.exe
(64 bits): Toutatis2_console_win64.exe

are both Toutatis 2.0 executables.

Best,

Re: I don’t get rfq.dat

Hi Chen I finally managed to find the problems with your input file. There were 2 problems. 1. Toutatis failed to simulate your radial matching section with the R0 profile you set in the first raws of the block describing the cells. For your information, Toutatis by default generates its own R0 prof...

Re: Synchronous phase in Toutatis

Dear Emre, I am sorry for the delay in my response but I finally managed to analyse your problem. It seems that you are using a relatively old version of Toutatis. With this version, the code would either read the synchronous phase from your inp file or calculate it by analyzing the cell length. In ...

Re: rfq with large modulation m

Hi

so, Toutatis versions are being updated on the website.

Note that from now, the code returns (-1) for kilpatrick and A10 when the cell parameters are not in the tables but it continues the simulation.

Best,

Re: rfq with large modulation m

Hi

OK. I will try to do that by June. Zero values would be displayed when the cell parameters are out of the tables.

I revert to you as soon as I managed to do something.

Best,
