Re: Problems with error studies using 2.23.1.7 TraceWin version

Dear Didier,

I am not so sure, if you got the lattice files (I sent you yesterday using the private message of this forum).

Thus, I sent you a simple lattice where the error occurs for version 2.23.1.7, but it seems not for older versions.

Problems with error studies using 2.23.1.7 TraceWin version

Dear Didier, I am having some problems when I make error studies using the new version (2.23.1.7) of TraceWin. With the new version, I have a considerably large beam loss compared with the previous version of TraceWin. As an example, I compared the results using 2.23.1.7 and 2.23.0.5 versions. Trace...

Re: Problem with % option on the emittance plot

Dear Didier, Thanks for your reply. In the version, I plot the emittance (Please see the next plot) Normal_emittance.png When, I select the % option (mark my red) Normal_emittance_2.png The plot does not show the % of the emittance growth. Maybe, I am doing something wrong. Best regards, Bruce

Problem with % option on the emittance plot

Dear Didier,

The option to plot the emittance in percentage does not work.
I am using version 2.20.0.3

Could you confirm that problem?

Best regards,

Bruce

Re: Implementation of mutlipole coefficients in bending magnets

Dear Didier, Thank you very much for the explanation. I was thinking that if G=0 and GFR=0, the high multipole coefficients are defined as Gn (i.e., Sextupole gradient (T/m^2) ). Because my understanding is that if GFR is not null, the input coefficients are Un (relative) If not (GFR =0), the input ...

Re: Implementation of mutlipole coefficients in bending magnets

Dear Didier, Thanks for your answer. I have a couple of questions: 1) By using a zero-length quadrupole, according to the manual: If L equals 0, the quadrupole is simulated as thin lens and all gradients have to be replaced by their integral (over longitudinal direction) values. So, the G, G3,G4, G5...

Re: Implementation of mutlipole coefficients in bending magnets

Dear Didier, About the implementation of multipole coefficient in bending magnets using "bend" and thin "quad" elements. I want to confirm if the following implementation is correct: 1) Bending magnet: EDGE 45 4500 100 0.45 2.8 100 1 BEND -90 4500 0 100 1 EDGE 45 4500 100 0.45 2.8 100 1 2) Divide th...
