Re: Strange longitudinal phase space
Dear Didier, thanks for the link, but, unfortunately, i did not fully understand if I simulate a single bunch (not CW) will I have a single bunch by using "Create a 360 deg period" button or there is one bunch destroyed into several? In other words, what is it presented in longitudinal phase space w...

Re: Export error
Dear Romuald, unfortunately with the fixed files programs cannot perform correct calculations. Please, look at the attached files. Without fixed files it is obtained fig.1. What is a problem in and how fix it? error_1.jpg With the fixed files it was obtained the result shown in fig.2. error_2.jpg Wh...

Re: Strange longitudinal phase space
Dear Didier,
thanks a lot.
Please, clarify is it still a single bunch that is on the start of the line?
Regards,
Vyacheslav.

Strange longitudinal phase space
Dear Didier, I simulated the simplest transfer line and obtained strange result. For the beam illustrated in fig.1 it is obtained output phase spaces shown in fig.2. By comparing this two figures one finds that output beam phase length is equal to 2000 degrees vs 360 degrees at the start. It seems t...

Re: Dipole element
Dear Didier, I've look ot the manual and found that field index gradient (FIG), for example, corresponds to the C-shape bend with no parallel poles (black curves rather than blue ones on the figure 1). C bend.jpg In my case I need to somehow simulate dipole-quadrupole like in the figure 2. DQ.jpg Ca...

Re: Dipole element
Dear Didier,
is field index gradient defined as n=-R/B*(dB/dr)?
If yes, what is B-component used here, in what point (how it describe and indicate in the program) is derivative calculated?

Dipole element
Dear Didier,
is it possible to somehow simulate beam transport throughout bending magnet with quadrupole component (the so called dipole-quadrupole), that is used, for example, on synchrotron ligth sources?
Will such element appear in the next version of TraceWin?
Best regards,
Vyacheslav

Dear Romuald,
yes, please share your files, it will not a problem for me to install it.
