Re: Implementation of mutlipole coefficients in bending magnets
Dear Didier, Thanks for your answer. I have a couple of questions: 1) By using a zero-length quadrupole, according to the manual: If L equals 0, the quadrupole is simulated as thin lens and all gradients have to be replaced by their integral (over longitudinal direction) values. So, the G, G3,G4, G5...

Re: Implementation of mutlipole coefficients in bending magnets
Dear Didier, About the implementation of multipole coefficient in bending magnets using "bend" and thin "quad" elements. I want to confirm if the following implementation is correct: 1) Bending magnet: EDGE 45 4500 100 0.45 2.8 100 1 BEND -90 4500 0 100 1 EDGE 45 4500 100 0.45 2.8 100 1 2) Divide th...

High multipoles in Quadrupole hard edge model
Dear Didier, I would like to know if TraceWin has a way to check the effect of multipoles. I plot the Gradient in the window charts, but the plots are the same with and without multipoles. In addition, I have a doubt, when I defined a GFR no null, the multipole coefficient that give is the relative ...

Problem with emittance display in the phase space plots
Dear All,
When I plot the emittance parameters of the phase-space distributions. Two different values of the rms emittance are printed.
Please see the red marks on the attached figure.
Best regards,
Bruce

Re: Explanation about DIAG_DXXXX
Dear Didier,
Thank you very much for your advices.
Could be possible to have access to the "static" variable script that you used to keep in memory the diagnostic values?
Thanks for your help,
Bruce

Re: Explanation about DIAG_DXXXX
Dear Didier, Thanks for your reply, and sorry to be ambiguous with my question. As you kindly explain in your answer, if you have the same type of element in 3 positions, you can relate by the following criteria. Vcr= (diag(n-2)-diag(n-1))^2 + (diag(n-1)-diag(n))^2. How do you access the nth diag va...

Explanation about DIAG_DXXXX
Dear Didier, The DIAG_DSIZE2 (similar to DIAG_DSIZE3 and DIAG_DPSIZE2) associates delta size in X and Y at two different points of the lattice. Could you explain me or sent the script of how it is done? I want to use something similar to associate some beam properties at different point in the latti...

Re: Static Errors in Bending magnets.
Dear Didier,
Thanks for your help.
I installed the new version of TraceWin and I did not see the error again. I will continue with the test.
I will let you know if I see the error again.
Best regards,
Bruce
