Re: Recovery runs done inside an error step

Dear Didier,
I post here a very simple example to reproduce the remote runs errors.
May be the problem is connected with the adjust command ?

Re: Recovery runs done inside an error step

Dear Didier,
we get a lot of errors on our remote computer system. As you can see from the snapshot.
We are using the latest version of TraceWin.
May you can understand why ?

Too many 'ADJUST' command (Max 4), contact developper to increase them

Dear Didier, we are setting up an electrostatic multipole, i.e. a corrector for high order aberration made it with 48 electrodes arranged to get exapole, octupole etc... What I need is to setup the adjust command in a way to handle only the exapole and octupole and, after that, all the orders toghet...

Recovery runs done inside an error step

Dear Didier, we are using some remote computers for doing the errors study on TraceWin. When we do a single step of errors study, or in the meanwhile of an error step, if we get a stop on the remote computer, we lose the runs done. For example, if we do a single step with 1000 runs, if the remote ma...

Electrostatic Acceleration linear behaviour

Dear Didier,
we are using the element ELECTROSTA_ACC of TraceWin. where In the linear matrix is present the parameter "K" (Transv. Defoc.)
This K is not used for the linear Envelope calculation, It's only used in the partran simulation.
May you explain why?

Dipole and edge angle and radius changed

Dear Didier, I have a very simple line with some steerers a triplet and a dipole. The input line is with a edge radius of 1900 mm and a dipole bending angle of 45 deg. i.e.: EDGE 11.701 1900 40 0.45 2.8 20 0 BEND 45 1900 0 20 0 EDGE 11.701 1900 40 0.45 2.8 20 0 After a steerers and quads matching in...

Re: Emittance growth at rfq end

Dear Didier, reading the post, I've removed from the emittance calculation the not accelerated particles. The problem of transverse emittance growth is mitigate, but still present. As you can see from the figures. Emittance_growth_with_longitudinal_cut.png Emittance_cut.PNG Best Regards, Michele Com...

Emittance growth at rfq end

Dear Didier,
I've observed a transverse emittance growth at the end of any rfq, also with RFQ_1.ini, in the last very short drift.

A so short drift cannot induce a so large emittance increase.
May you know why ?

Re: Lost particles on phase

Dear Didier,
thank you for the plot with 360° phase period.
May you put this options also on the density plot ?

Re: Lost particles on phase

Dear Didier, thank you for the information. Yes, my problem is on particles display and longitudinal emittance calculation. So, the phase module is done always, even without space charge, if I have understood you answer. I will put this as a question: Is it the phase module done always in a run? Now...
