Dear Didier,
While plotting the Hofmann chart, the value of the tune depression goes beyond 1 which should not happen in principle. May you please suggest a solution if possible. I am attaching a plot for your reference.
Thank you

Abhishek Pathak

Re: segmentation violation in error study on server
Dear Didier, I am using Windows 10 and the remote desktop connection that comes with it. I can tell you that I encounter a "critical segmentation error" ( not every time but often) when I log in from my laptop (running Windows 10) to my workstation (running Windows 10) using the remote desktop conne...

Re: segmentation violation in error study on server
Dear Shliu and Didier, I also face this error when I run TraceWin on one computer (say comp-A) and try to remote login to comp-A from another computer (say comp-B) using a remote desktop application. As far as I know, this error has nothing to do with error studies. Even if I perform general simulat...

Re: Error studies for field maps
Dear Didier,
While using the command,
ERROR_GAUSSIAN_CUT_OFF cut-off
the value of the variable cut-off should be in terms of rms? For instance 1 for rms, 2 for two times rms and so on.
Thank you
With Regards
Abhishek

Re: Error studies for field maps
Dear Didier, Thank you very much for the explanation. I was concerned because I observed significant particle loss for my lattice and was wondering if it is because of the large deviation from the rms misalignment that I have chosen to perform my error studies. In certain cases, we would like to kee...

Re: Error studies for field maps
Dear Didier,
Does it mean that the error can be arbitrarily large following the infinite tail of the Gaussian distribution? Is there a way to define a cutoff?
Thank you

Re: Error studies for field maps
Dear Didier, While using the command, ERROR_QUAD_NCPL_STAT N r(0/1/2/4/5), dx(mm), dy(mm), φx(°), φy(°), φz(°), dG(%), dz(mm) , dG3(%), dG4(%), dG5(%), dG6(%), Nb [/i][/b] if I chose r=2 for Gaussian distribution, what is the cutoff value for the distribution that the code takes (is it three times R...
