Please use the example project in this attachment.
The example project from the previous message was wrong.

Re: Match using Diagnostics with Partran

Dear Didier,

I do not understand your suggestion. Can you illustrate it in the attached example? Please show if I can optimize diag_size with envelope only, and optimize diag_energy with Partran.

Best regards,

Match using Diagnostics with Partran

Dear Didier, I would like to request the functionality to Match using Diagnostics With Partran ONLY for part of the diagnostics in the beam line. I run into cases where for some diagnostics (e.g. phase space) is meaningless without Partran, while other diagnostics (e.g. beam trajectories) is reasona...

Dear Nicolas,

The 1mm test is great. I have the answer I wanted. Thanks.

Re: Phase offset between field maps [SOLVED]

Dear Didier and Nicholas, A follow up question on the interpretation of the Input Phase (now called RF phase) for field maps at different frequencies. Please see attachment. In the project, A1 is at 100MHz and A2 is at 200MHz. I believe the RF Phase reported for A1 is the wall clock phase counted at...

Re: Phase offset between field maps [SOLVED]

Dear Didier,

Is there a handy way of extracting the "input phase" for all cavities? The closest is "Cav_set_point_res.dat" but it only contains the synchronous phase. Can you add a column to that file? Or is it recorded somewhere?

Re: Phase offset between field maps [SOLVED]

Dear Nicolas, Thank you very much! It is absolutely very helpful. Question 1: E = E0 cos(phi) = E0 cos(360°*f_rf*t+phi0) In the definition above, it is a "+" sign in front of phi0. So is it correct that in my example, A1 is leading A2 by 157.87-(-3.14)=161.01? Question 2: I might have misunderstood ...

Re: Phase offset between field maps [SOLVED]

Dear Didier,

A follow up question on sign convention.
In this example, the phase offset is 157.87-(-3.14)=161.01. Is A1 or A2 leading? Could you also point me to the manual where it discusses the sign convention?

Best regards,
Wai-Ming
