Second beam mass

Post by Spainpedro »

When a second beam is defined, the mass shown in “Beam data” of the main tab is not well defined. Despite correctly defining the mass of the ions, the rest energy data in “Beam data” remains the same as for the main beam.

This affects the results, since when the phase space is exported to ASCII file, the mass is taken from the main beam, not from the secondary beam.

Re: Second beam mass

Sorry because I think I made a mistake when launching the simulation and I had not loaded the distribution properly.

Anyway, when I export the output beam from Chart->Output->Save (to txt) the mass that appears in the header corresponds to the mass of the main beam that is taken as reference. Therefore, no information about the mass of the secondary beam ions is saved. It would be nice to have a column with the mass of the ions.

I attach a screenshot and the second beam file, corresponding to oxygen ions but the mass shown in the txt file is taken from the main beam (carbon ions).

Dear Pedro,

Indeed, I see the problem.
It's been corrected in the latest version available on the site

Regards,

Didier
