Regarding electron acceleration in TraceWin

I have recently run a simulation in TraceWin to accelerate 90 keV, 500 mA electron beam in 1D field map of 5-cell beta = 0.92 elliptical cavity. In case of DC beam, the transmission is only 30%. I have observed a discrepancy in calculation of beam power loss. As I increase the calculation steps and space-charge steps, the beam power loss is increasing. At 100 steps per beta*lambda, power loss is 130 kW, whereas at 1000 steps, the beam power loss is 2 MW, which is not expected.

I have no way of verifying what you're saying if you don't send me the TraceWin project file(s), simplified if necessary, so that I can see what you're looking at.

Dear Dr. Rahu,

I must admit that your simulation deviates somewhat from the operating modes intended for the code; sending a continuous beam into RF cavities is not really common practice.
Well, with a few minor approximations, I think the losses are now better managed and remain more or less stable depending on the calculation step. The new version of TraceWin is available for update.
