RF phase

Post by United States of Americawtam »

Dear Didier,

Please see attachment. For GAP6 I used:
GAP 80e3 0 10 3

I expect the Sync_Phase for GAP6 to be
-30 + (2886.54 - 2707.87) = 148.67. I was wrong. It is 6.54. Could you please show me how to calculate the number 6.54?

There is a similar example for DTL Cell on p.51 of the user manual. What sync_phase should one expect to see for each of the DTL cells? Is the example for a 0-mode DTL? How to use Type3 phase setting for pi-mode?

Thanks,
Wai-Ming

Dear Wai-Ming,

It's 2886.54-8*360=6.54°

Dear Didier,

Could you please explain the example for DTL Cell on p.51 of the user manual. The example set the phase to Type 3. My understanding is that it is a model for a 0-mode DTL, is it correct? How to use Type3 phase setting for pi-mode? Thank you.

Best regards,
Wai-Ming

Dear Wai-Ming,

DTL_CEL element was not designed for a PI mode. This time we have to look at NCELLS element, which is more generic.

Didier
