Intrabeam stripping

Dear Didier,
Is it possible to simulate intrabeam stripping using TraceWin? If not, will it be difficult to include this feature, because some of the beam losses in a linac can be because of this effect, and it will be really useful.
Thank you
With Regards

Dear Abhishek,
I can look at this point. Would an estimate as defined in equation (7) in the reference below be useful?

Dear Didier,
Thank you very much for considering my request. Yes, the estimate in the referenced paper will be very useful.
Thank you

Dear Abhishek,
Intra-beam estimate has been added in the last TraceWin release. It's not fully tested but I'm confident. (voir "Stripping losses" chapter in manual).

Didier

Hello Didier,
Thanks for this feature, I was wondering if you could explain how the "powerloss" by intrabeam stripping is calculated. (it is not mentioned in the manual).
Thank you,
Gerardo

Dear Gerardo,
Knowing the integrals over the linac length for the relative particle loss (ΔN/N), you just have to multiply by the power carried by a particle by ΔN/N x Δs.

Didier
