Steering inside field maps

Hello Didier,
I have a question regarding the use of steerers inside field maps. Generally, steerers, used as correctors, are not fully characterized from magnetically point of view, so they are not inserted as field maps, but with the hard edge model. However, if we use long field maps for quadrupoles and the steerers are located inside such field maps, how can we simulate them? I understand the shift_in_field map can be only applied to diagnostic but not to steerers.
Thank you
Conchi
