Error in rfq simulation

Dear Didier,

I perform an rfq simulation in tracewin for proton beam and I always get an error. The error message is attached.
The rfq length is almost 3.2 meter. When running simulation until 1.8 meter centroid position there is no problem even transmission is almost 99.7%. But suddenly the simulation is stopped and I got this error message.
Also I attached the input file that I worked on.
Could you check it please what is wrong there ?

Bests,
Emre

Tracewin version: 2.23.0.3

Dear Emre,

I need all the project files to reproduce the specific case, here the *.dat file is missing.

Regards,

Didier

Dear Didier,

I attached the .dat file.

Dear Emre,

I don't know why, probably a problem in the geometry of your cells, your beam stalls in ernergy. The DW_FILTER variable set to 0.5 is no longer sufficient, so all your particles are filtered and lost. Increasing this limit is fine, but obviously doesn't correct your structural design problem.

Didier

Dear Didier,
Could you explain me the meaning of DW_FILTER please ? I could not find this command in the documentations (tracewin and toutatis).

Also, what is difference(relation) of DW_FILTER and |E-Esynchrone| option in multiparticle option?

Bests,
Emre

Dear Enre,

This is described in the Toutatis V2 documentation, chapter 4.2.2 but the keywords DW_FILTER & DW_LIMIT are not mentioned.
So,
DW_FILTER is energy filter for statistic (rms, emittance...) (W-W0) MeV
DW_LIMIT is energy filter for losses (W-W0) MeV

The last one is similar to |E-Esynchrone| option in multiparticle TraceWIn option. Note, that the|E-Esynchrone| filter doesn't concern Toutatis simulation, only Partran.

One point I need to correct is that the link to the Toutatis documentation in the TraceWin interface does not link to the latest Toutatis documentation (v2).

Didier
