What is minimum input beam energy allowed in TRACEWIN ?

Post by Indiasarvesh »

In tracewin, if we wish to design extraction system using field maps, what is input energy of beam which can be taken ? For example, Can we take beam at plasma potential such as 100 eV energy?

Yes, it is possible, nevertheless, don't forget that a beam is a plasma with a preferential direction and some of the calculations (especially envelops) consider assumptions like dx/ds^2/dy/dz^2 << 1 (x' and y' << 1).
