Energy beam of input beam

Post by Spainpedro »

I noticed that when you modify the Kinetic Energy parameter in the 'Input Main beam parametrers' tab once you have imported all the beam parameters from an external file, the energy of all the particles changes to exactly the same value. In this way, if the input distribution had a certain energy distribution it is lost. It would be interesting if the Kinetic energy parameter would allow to move the center of the energy distribution, but keep the shape of the distribution, as if it were a scaling factor.
I would like to know if this is currently possible to implement in the code.

Dear Pedro,

This is obviously not the behaviour that is expected, of course the distribution is not lost and it is only the average energy that is affected. Could you send me your example, because what you're indicating isn't normal and I don't observe that.

Regards,

Didier
