Dear Pedro,
Indeed, I see the problem.
It's been corrected in the latest version available on the site
Regards,
Didier

Re: Second beam mass
Dear Pedro,
Please show me your example, because on my side everthing seems ok (see below)

Re: Phase offset between field maps [SOLVED]
Dear Wai-Ming,
Could you be more specific, as I've compared the latest version with the one from 6 months ago and I can't see any difference, except for the name of the RF phase.
Regards,
Didier

Re: Drop in longitudinal emittance in RFQ
Dear Jeroen, As can be seen from your simulation below, a certain number of particles are detached in energy, making the longitudinal emittance larger and larger, until one of them is lost on the wall of the RFQ, abruptly resetting the emittance to a lower value. To overcome this problem in calculat...

Re: Energy beam of input beam [SOLVED]
Dear Pedro,
This is obviously not the behaviour that is expected, of course the distribution is not lost and it is only the average energy that is affected. Could you send me your example, because what you're indicating isn't normal and I don't observe that.
Regards,
Didier

Re: Cavity error calculations with aperture map
Dear Jonathan,
Ok It's fixed, but as it has no impact on simulations or even visualisations, it will not be effective until a later update.
Regards,
Didier

Dear Jonathan,
I'll check that, but as usual I need your project files.

Re: Different SW versions lead to very inconsistent results
Dear Shuo, You should already understand that TraceWin is not designed to simulate an RFQ, and in fact we have a specific code for this type of structure, TOUTATIS, which is really designed for this purpose. Anyway, with TraceWin it's still possible via a field map, but TraceWin is not a time code l...

Re: Different SW versions lead to very inconsistent results
Dear Shuo, I wanted to inform you that in the latest version of TraceWin, after discussions with experts, I went back on the changes to the space-charge calculation that I had made following our exchange. In the end, these changes were not appropriate and it was the RF phase change that was the caus...
