Re: Space charge compensation for field map [SOLVED]
Dear Wai-Ming, In fact, you have to create a file with the extension ".scc" that contains the space charge compensation map. This file format is described in the "Current or space charge compensation map" section of the TraceWin documentation. Basically, it's a two-column file (with a header "0 N", ...

Yes, Ki is the scaling factor for the strength of the space charge compensation field map (that you have to generate). > My understanding to SPACE_CHARGE_COMP is scaling factor for the beam current in space charge calculatio...

Re: Space charge compensation for field map [SOLVED]
Dear Wai-Ming, If you use the command "FIELD_MAP x x x x x 0.5", you have to generate and add to your project a field map containing the space charge compensation according to z (and of course, you can make it vary as a function of z). In that case, the SCC field map will be scaled down by a factor ...

Re: load accumulated density file in python
Dear Lennert,
May I suggest to have a look at TraceWin documentation, in the section "Files", there is a subsection "Density file (*.dat)" where you can find a C function that reads all the data contained in the density file.
Regards,
Nicolas.

Re: A bug in Tracewin? i need help [SOLVED]
Dear lihaipeng, Indeed, I was able to reproduce this bug and it will be addressed by Didier as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can use the following workaround: 1) You read the dst file you want to use and you compute the mean energy of the particles: MeanEnergyCalculated (see the 'GetMeanEne...

Re: A bug in Tracewin? i need help [SOLVED]
Dear lihaipeng, I think you forgot something when you saved your "QD_DTL.ini" file: if you click on the " Multiparticle " tab and you go to " Input distribution type ", " 6 dimensional ellipse " was selected. So, the input beam distribution of your simulation was randomly generated in 6D (gaussian),...

Re: About input matched beam
Dear Emily, I ran the Tracewin project you sent and it worked fine. In fact, the results of the matching are written in the '.cal' file in the following order: Twiss_parameters_of_matched_beam betax betay betaz alphax alphay alphaz Then, if you plot beam distributions in the different phase spaces a...

Re: How to vary electric field intensity factor in FIELD_MAP
Dear Sarvesh,
As you are using electric field maps, the command "MATCH_FAM_FIELD" should do the job.
Regards,
Nicolas.
