Dear Didier,
Is it possible to put a diagnostics in the middle of an element? For example, a DIAG_SIZE in the middle of a QUAD?
If it is not possible, would you consider adding this feature?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Wai-Ming

Re: Problem with variable [SOLVED]
Dear Didier, Please refer to the previous conversation in this post. The problem was solved at some point of time. But it appears to be problematic again. For example, TraceWin would randomly quit (GUI disappeared) if I use the following variables naming: variable pa1 1 variable pa2 1 variable pa3 1...

Re: Problem with variable [SOLVED]
Dear Didier,
It seems that the codes still randomly breaks when I have variables running from xa1 to xa10 and above. The codes is perfectly fine with variables up to xa9. I believe the codes don't break randomly, but I cannot find the pattern.
Best regards,
Wai-Ming

Re: FWHM size in TraceWin optimization and output
Dear Didier, Recently I attempt to run codes from a few months ago without any change, diag_size provides very different and incorrect results. I fixed my codes by changing it to diag_size_fwhm. Of course it is slightly different but it is what I expected. To be specific, the problematic code is "di...

Lattice command
Dear Didier, Currently, the lattice command requires the same number of elements for all successive focusing periods. Quite often it is practically difficult to fulfill this requirement. Would you kindly consider adding a version of the lattice command that counts only the quad elements. It would be...

Re: Diag_Particles
Dear Didier,
Is the following a valid combination? Does it target at 0.5mA at the location of the diagnostics?
Input beam current = 1mA
diag_current 99 50 0 1
best regards,
Wai-Ming

Re: Diag_Particles
Dear Didier,
So in the case of zero current, what does the "Ib" means in the statement "DIAG_CURRENT N Ib"? Is it the number of particles?
Also, does the same apply to DIAG_DCURRENT?
Best regards,
Wai-Ming

Re: "save" button [SOLVED]
Dear Didier,
Ah! I only realized that there are two save buttons after you mentioned it. I kept pressing the project save button and mistakenly hoped it would save the .dat file. Problem solved.
Best regards,
Wai-Ming

Re: set_sync_phase [SOLVED]
Dear Didier, and other colleagues, Can you command on the difficulty with set_sync_phase when the voltage is too high relative to the input beam energy? Is it a pure mathematical and optimization difficulty? Or is it physical so that one should avoid when it happens in the model? Best regards, Wai-M...
