Dear Didier,
is it possible to define the magnetic quadrupole using directly the current of quadrupole. if so , how to do it?
Thanks

Gas stripping
Dear Didier,
i want to know what is role of Gas stripping command. I want to simulate when beam travel through a chamber filled with gas, how the beam divergence change or increase. is it possible with gas stripping and diagnostic commands.
Thanks

Re: Beam matching
Dear Didier, can you suggest me some literature or book or any resources having some more no of example and problem on beam dynamics for practice ranging from basic to advance using all this concepts of element and commands (in a way like problem and solution). which focus more on fundamental of bea...

Beam matching
Hello everyone, I'm new to TraceWin and have a couple of beginner-level questions regarding beam matching and envelope plots: When performing a beam matching operation, do we only need to provide the structure file (i.e., the lattice), and not the initial Twiss parameters of the beam? If so, does Tr...

Re: Lattice command
i want to get the best value of quad strength which match the beam with given twiss parameter, how to do? my structure file is like: DRIFT 200 100 MATCH_FAM_GRAD 1 1 QUAD 100 20 100 DRIFT 400 100 MATCH_FAM_GRAD 1 2 QUAD 100 -20 100 DRIFT 200 100 set_twiss 1 -1.246384 1.002772 1.246384 1.002772 0 0 (...

Re: Lattice command
say i have one structure file like Lattice 2 1 ,drift, quad, drift, quad, drift, lattice_end and another i dont use Lattice command so structure file like drift, quad, drift, quad, drift and transport beam in both how the result is different or what is difference between this two structure file. can...

Lattice command
Can you explain what Lattice command do, say if i define a FODO with lattice command and i only define the fodo elements but not keep with in lattice command . Then what will be the difference?

Re: Beam information
i want to know can i get the beam information using diagnostic elements (DIAG_) at that location or it is used only to match the beam for wanted beam parameters at that location ?

Beam information
Dear TraceWin Community, I’m completely new to TraceWin and have several beginner-level questions. I would greatly appreciate any clarifications: 1. How can I extract beam information (e.g., RMS size, twiss parameter, etc.) at any arbitrary z-position along the beamline, not just at the exit of defi...
