Hi Didier,
One other thing: I was wondering why at certain points along the linac, most notably around z=4.62 m and z=16.4 m, the k0 phase advance is calculated as 0? These seem to roughly coincide with the last elements in sections 1 and 2 in my linac.
Thanks,
Josh

Re: Phase advance calculation bug
Dear Didier,
I tried deleting and redownloading the Tracewin.exe file...I guess it got corrupted somehow. I get the correct plots now.
Thanks!

Re: Phase advance calculation bug
Hi Didier, I'm not sure how you got those charts. When I try to plot the deg/m phase advances (abscissa=meter, ordinate=meter, phase advance = structure or beam), I get the following plots. I've also attached the associated ascii files. Did you modify the files in some way to get them to plot correc...

Phase advance calculation bug
Dear Didier, For some reason, the phase advance charts for my linac do not seem to plot past z=57 m correctly. It might have something to with a ~short transport section that starts around there, but I'm not sure. What do you think is going on? I have attached the phase advance plots below. I will s...

Re: Extracting Hofmann chart data for analysis
Dear Didier,
1. Excellent!
2. My goal is to do parameter scans where I'd be running TraceWin many times and extracting phase advance data for each run. Would I be able to do this quickly in the GUI version? If not, could this be done for the non-GUI version?
Thanks,
Josh

Re: Extracting Hofmann chart data for analysis
Dear Didier, I looked at the underlying data for the two plots. From what I can tell (and please correct me if I'm wrong), the "structure" plot contains the phase advances without space charge and the "beam" plot contains phase advances with space charge. The variables in the two plots are different...

Re: Extracting Hofmann chart data for analysis
Dear Didier, I am trying to save just the coordinates of the lattice period points in the entire Hofmann chart. I've attached the full Hofmann chart below. Earlier I zoomed into the default axis scales. Screenshot 2026-04-08 092410.png My ultimate goal is to be able to scan different lattice paramet...

Extracting Hofmann chart data for analysis
After running TraceWin on my .dat file, I can create a Hofmann chart of the lattice periods in my linac as shown below. Hofmann_chart.png I was wondering if there is a way to extract the lattice period data from the chart, i.e. the coordinates (kz/kxy, kxy/kxy0), for external analysis? There seems t...
