Dear Didier,
I have a question on the parameters to be used for edge and bend elements.
Both of them require a parameter R (aperture) and edge requires a parameter G (Total gap of the magnet).
Could you please explain what is the difference?
I would say that G represent the distance between the poles, and R the aperture on the radial plane (for an horizontal bend), but I am not sure my interpretation is correct
Thanks a lot for your answer
Francesco

Re: Bend and Edge parameters
Dear Francesco,
I think so, but the best way to be sure is to transport a large beam inside and see the shape of the surviving particles in XY phase space.
Regards,
Didier
