Dear didier:
how did the phase advance data in tracewin.out or partran.out file calculated? i find the value is in deg/mm instead of deg/m, and seems not the same with phase advance in charts-phase advance-beam. And what the difference between kz and kr?

Re: phase advance define in output file
Dear fengxy,
In the files the phase advances are in deg/mm as indicated in the file header. Now these are the adv over the length of the element #.
On the graph if you have specified a "LATTICE" command in your "*.dat" file, these are the adv in deg/m over the length of the period.
kr is the radial transverse phase advance calculated in tracking only.
Regards,
Didier

I was using a spoke cavity by field_map element and the element been seperated into 9 pieces, each phase advance is different. In each piece is the phase advance calculate by the integral of 1/beta function?

Dear Fengxy,
If you have selected "Beam", yes, the calculation will be performed (see details in the link below).
