Dear Didier,
"shift_in_field_map" works for diagnostics. Is it possible to have an equivalent that works for "quad" and other optical elements?
Best regards,
Wai-Ming
shift_in_field_map [SOLVED]
Re: shift_in_field_map [SOLVED]
Dear Wai-Ming,
Moving a diagnosis to a field map is only possible because it does not influence the beam optics. It is therefore totally impossible to propose the same thing for other elements escept for steering because its quite simple to manage.
Regards,
Didier

Re: shift_in_field_map
Dear Didier,
Yes, it makes sense. It is not as in the case of shifting field maps where superposition of fields applies.
Thanks,
Wai-Ming
