Dear Didier,
Recently, I’ve been working on emittance calculations. I found that my results for the x-x′ and y-y’ planes match well with TraceWin, but the emittance in the z-z’ plane is always different. After reading the documentation about the transformation between 𝜙-𝑊 and z-z’, I suspect that the normalization for longitudinal emittance might use the relation
ε rms=ε⋅β⋅γ^3
Whereas for the transverse planes, the normalization uses:
ε rms=ε⋅β⋅γ
I don't know if I'm right.
Best regards,
Li.

Dear Li,
Yes, below is the normalization extracted from the manual.
