I have noticed that there are several options related to halo particles and emittance definitions in different parts of TraceWin . I am trying to better understand how these settings are used.
I have two main questions:
1.Do these settings apply to different stages of the calculation process?
2.As shown in the figures, there are two places where the “xx% emittance” can be defined. Will these settings overlap or interfere with each other during the calculation?
I look forward to your reply.

Re: Question on Halo and xx% Emittance Settings in TraceWin [SOLVED]
The two you are showing are completely independent; the first one, as you have observed, is used to plot the ellipse on the particle distribution plot, while the second is only used to configure the "XX.XX% emit" curve, which can be accessed in the "Charts" tab.

Dear Didier,
I revisited the software and realized that my previous question was actually quite stupid. Thank you very much for your reply and your patience.
