DTL tank tilt error [SOLVED]
Re: DTL tank tilt error
Dear Shweta,
It is not possible to separate the constituent elements of a DTL_CEL element. This is why, after a run, you will find a file named "xxx_2.dat" in your calculation directory corresponding to your DTL tank but separating each constituent of the DTL cells, so you can do what you are asking.
Typically, DTL_CEL is translated into QUAD+DRIFT+GAP+DRIFT+QUAD.
Regards,
Didier

Dear Didier,
I want to use steerer for correcting this error. Can I use thin steering command along with dynamic error?
Best Regards,
Shweta.

Re: DTL tank tilt error
Dear Shweta,
The simulation sequence is as follows:
- Static errors applied
- Correction scheme applied
- Dynamic errors applied
Thus, dynamic errors typically corresponding to mechanical vibrations and power supply noise cannot be corrected, by definition.

Didier

Re: DTL tank tilt error
Dear Didier,
When I give static error without correction, it hardly affects the output dynamics, no loss. When I give dynamic error of same magnitude I see transmission loss of 14 %. Why is it so?

Shweta

Dear Shweta,
That's not normal indeed. Do you have an example you could send me?

Didier

Re: DTL tank tilt error
Dear Didier ,
Please confirm that for horizontal tilt I must give error in x. Also is I want first quad to be tilted but aligned with beam axis, I must give an x displacement dx since from what you explained, I understand that first quad will undergo negative displacement -dx and last one positive displacement in dx. I want that the first remains undisplaced and the last one should have 2x displacement.
Best Regards,
Shweta

Dear Shweta,
Probablement que j'explique pas bien, alors voici un dessin qui explique ce qui est simulé
