Diag_Particles

Dear Didier,

There's a command named "Diag_Current" for beam transmission efficiency matching. I'm wondering if it's possible to add a "Diag_Particles" command for fast matching without considering beam current (Zero input current)?

Kinds,
shliu

Dear Shliu,

It's not indicated in the documentation (I'll update it), but if the current parameter or the beam current is zero, then transmission will be used by default, exactly as you ask.

Didier

Dear Didier,

So in the case of zero current, what does the "Ib" means in the statement "DIAG_CURRENT N Ib"? Is it the number of particles?
Also, does the same apply to DIAG_DCURRENT?

Best regards,
Wai-Ming

Dear Wai-Ming,

I've slightly modified the behaviour and settings of DAIG_CURRENT and DIAG_DCURRENT to make them more similar and consistent. I've also clarified the documentation about them to be clearer and I hope this new version will answer your questions. If it still doesn't, please let me know.

Dear Didier,

Is the following a valid combination? Does it target at 0.5mA at the location of the diagnostics?

Input beam current = 1mA
diag_current 99 50 0 1

best regards,
Wai-Ming

Dear Wai-Ming,

Yes, exactly like DIAG_CURRENT 99 0.5
