the loss of particles

Post by Chinahanxj »

Why is there a loss of particles when only the length of a drift segment is missing in the middle? Moreover, it can't be seen from the figure that the main particle beam cluster is lost, and the radius of my drift segment is large enough. Why is there still a small amount of particle loss?

Dear hanxj,

Difficult to answer without your project files, but as a first idea, I would say that the losses are probably due to the 20mm aperture defined for your EDGE.

Didier
