second beam output phase space

Post by RussiaVyacheslav »

Dear Didier,

after transfer line (no acceleration, no radiation and so on) calculation for one kind of particles with charge state Z I run calcalation for the same particle with the same parameters, but slightly different by beta (at the level about 1.5*10^{-3}) and charge state Z-1. Output particle distributions for that with Z and Z-1 are below.

The input ones were

Transfer line is

Why in the longitudinal phase space does a distance by phase between them is about 300 deg? Is it just for illustration?

Regards, Vyacheslav.

Dear Didier,
when preparing project files to send you, I merged a number of consequent drift elements in one and rerun calculation. Obtained results below and looks more correct. Some strange effect took place.

Dear Vyacheslav,

Ok, but the previous behaviour is not normal and if you have an example showing me how to reproduce and correct this bug, it is still interesting to do so.

Regards,

Didier
