Dear Didier,
I am having some problems when I make error studies using the new version (2.23.1.7) of TraceWin.
With the new version, I have a considerably large beam loss compared with the previous version of TraceWin.
As an example, I compared the results using 2.23.1.7 and 2.23.0.5 versions.
When I ran, I saw a message that I had not seen in the previous version. "Error (All beam lost)"
The results present a large difference in beam losses between the two cases.
Could you please confirm me this issue?
Thanks for your help and support,
Bruce
Problems with error studies using 2.23.1.7 TraceWin version
Re: Problems with error studies using 2.23.1.7 TraceWin version
Dear Bruce,
I used these two versions to repeat an error study on a known case and compare.
I can't see anything significantly different between the two versions. So, probably your case is very specific and you'd have to send it to me so that I can repeat the comparison with it and understand this difference, which is not, a priori, normal.
Regards,
Didier

Re: Problems with error studies using 2.23.1.7 TraceWin version
Dear Didier,
I am not so sure, if you got the lattice files (I sent you yesterday using the private message of this forum).
Thus, I sent you a simple lattice where the error occurs for version 2.23.1.7, but it seems not for older versions. Best regards,
Bruce

Hi Bruce,
I don't know why, but I didn't receive your private message.
Anyway, thanks to your project, I was able to identify the problem with the recent version of TraceWin and fix it. It was a THIN_STEERING adjustment problem.

Didier
