Hello,
I need to ask you a question, as I am not able to find the answer in the manual but I am sure it is there.
I want to create my own particle distribution to use it as input for simulations in TraceWin.
Which format should have the file?
Then, I think, I should import it from the main page using ``Import all beam parameters from file``, I mean below it there is the option to import this file and them with this button I can import the beam parameters
Or should I import it from multiparticle tab?
Thank you in advance for helping
F.

Re: how to import a file with particles
Hi Francesco,
To do that, you have to use the free code "PlotWin" allowing to import particle from an ASCII file (see PlotWin manual for format detail)
Then, using particle ditribution chart of plotwin, use "Save" button and select "dst" as output file type.
Regards,
Didier
