Dear Didier,
I am trying to use steerer along with quad static error. The x and y steerer are set to same value in partran calculation, while in envelope they have different values. Beam loss ultimately increases with this correction applied. Kindly explain how to use steerer with Quad error.
ADJUST_STEERER 1
STEERER -0.01 -0.01 0.02
ERROR_QUAD_CPL_STAT 11 0 1.536 -0.536 0.027 0.000229 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 11
QUAD 23.576 -43.6 12 0 0 0 0 0
DIAG_POSITION 1 0 0 0
Best Regards,
Shweta

Re: Steerer with static quad error
Dear Shweta Roy,
Without your project files (*.cal, *.dat, *.ini"), it is impossible for me to understand exactly what you are doing.
That said, if you selected "Matrch using diagnostics" considering your example, a new set of steerer values will be calculated and will replace the one originally defined (-0.01, -0.01) and if you also selected "With partran", another set of steerer values will be calculated again in tracking mode. These two sets of values will be saved in the *.cal file.
Now, if you also apply errors with "ERROR_QUAD...", a third set of steerer values will be recalculated to take the errors into account, but without being saved. However, this is more complex to determine without your project files.
Regards,
Didier
