about transfor matrix of bend magnet

I noticed that the transfer matrix of bending magnet in tracewin document is different from what normally used in text books, especially the element M56, the first item of which is a function of β, is it the reduced velocity or edge angle? how this fomula is deduced(a reference)?

Yes, β is the reduced velocity. To be honest, I can't find any reference to it anymore,
